Thomas studied law at the Justus-Liebig-University Giessen in the 1980s. He focused on public law and spent his elective placement at the Hessian Ministry of Environment, Energy and Federal Affairs, Wiesbaden.
After two years in public service, he moved to Thomas Cook Travel Agency in 1994 and after several mergers finally to TUI Leisure Travel, Duesseldorf. He directed divestments with project planning and project control. In 2001 he joined the Frankfurt Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the field of law and taxation as a deputy managing director. In 2006 he changed to the department Financial Center, Business Development and Startup Support. Since 2013 he is deputy managing director of the Frankfurt am Main Chamber of Commerce and Industry in the section Vocational Training and Continuing Education.
In Spring 2012 he joined IINAS as (part-time) Managing Director. Besides administration, his responsibilities at IINAS are organizational development and communication & outreach to associates and partners.
He’s a big soccer fan and dedicated cyclist, and a highly appreciated practitioner in the food domain.
